This Cookie Policy explains how KnoCommerce, Inc. (“Kno“, “we” or “us“) uses cookies and similar technologies on our marketing websites, in our merchant application, in our emails, and in the surveys that merchants run through our Service. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Similar technologies include pixels, tags, scripts, local storage and software development kits. We refer to all of them as “cookies” in this Policy.

The merchant application is used by businesses. Merchant staff who do not want analytics cookies set in their browser can contact us at privacy@knocommerce.com.
- OUR EMAILS
Our transactional emails may contain technologies that tell us whether an email was opened and whether links in it were clicked. We use this to confirm delivery and improve our communications. You can block it by disabling image loading in your email client.
- MERCHANT SURVEYS
Our survey code, when it runs on a merchant’s store or on a survey page we host, does not set tracking cookies, does not use advertising technologies and does not fingerprint your device. It stores a signed session token in your browser’s local storage so that you can return to an unfinished survey. That token is strictly necessary for the survey to work and contains only internal identifiers. Compass does not use cookies or device storage to track you across stores. The Compass Research section of our Privacy Policy explains how Compass answers are handled. Merchants may use their own cookies on their stores, and those are governed by the merchant’s own policies.
- YOUR CHOICES
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s browser add-on. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of our websites or Service from working.
